Notes from the Music Ministry
at St. James Church
I feel very blessed because my parish sings. I’ve been to other parishes where they don’t sing, thereby not participating fully in Mass. Every weekend our parishioners raise the roof singing hymns of praise. The hymns we sing become sung prayer, crying out to our Lord. It may be for strength, comfort, courage, or just a light in the darkness. When we sing, we pray twice. But it’s not just about the singing, it’s about leaning on each other in tough time, caring for each other in good or bad times, and praying for each other.
Have you considered joining our choir family? We have plenty of room for you. We have the best seats in the house! We come from different backgrounds, ages, and skill levels.
I would like to personally invite you, your spouse, your children and friends to check us out on Thursdays at 6pm in the church.
