Since my ordination in 2010, it had been my pleasure to serve with Fr. Dennis Mende for 11 years at Holy Apostles Parish. 

During a portion of that time my wife, Kathe and I purchased a home in Sarasota Florida and were “snowbirds” for a few years. Since 2021, we have become permanent Florida residents, returning to Jamestown for a couple of months each summer. 

 It is an honor and a privilege to be able to serve the Jamestown family during our time in Jamestown.

Dcn. Sam was a Principal at Holy Family from 2007 to 2012.  He was ordained by Bishop Kmiec in 2010. 

Each Deacon is given a ministry of charity.  Dcn. Sam was given Bereavement Ministry.  He and his wife, Kathe served in prison ministry from 2003 to 2018. 

He is currently assigned as a Deacon to St. Jude Catholic Church in Sarasota, Florida.  We are fortunate to have Dcn. Sam share his faith with us when he returns to the Jamestown area.
