General Announcements

The Thirty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time ~ November 17, 2024  

• The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Catholic Neighbors In Faith is still accepting donations for the Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner Drive.  They are requesting turkeys and boxed or canned food items.  Please deliver your donations to the central office by Wednesday, November 20th.
• The “Lord, Teach Me to Pray” Men’s prayer group will have a dinner at 6pm Monday evening, November 18th at St. James church hall.  This will be the last class until after the holidays.  
• Catholic Daughters will meet at the Sacred Heart Conference room this Monday evening, November 18th at 6:30pm.
• The Frucella Family is offering a special scholarship fund this year for registered members of St. James parish who are currently attending or planning to attend college this spring or summer.  Application requirements can be obtained from the central office.  All applications must be submitted by December 15th.
• Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is observed on Wednesdays at St. James’ Chapel from 9am until the 7pm Mass.  All are invited to come and pray throughout the day. We need individuals to sign up for one hour weekly to help keep the sacrament open throughout the day.  Please call the central office if you can help!  
• Liturgy of the Hours (Christian Prayer) is prayed on Zoom at 9am every Friday morning.  All are welcome!  Call the rectory for the codes to join.
