Fifth Sunday of Easter ~ May 18, 2025
- St. James will have a Coffee & Donut hour this Sunday after the 8am Mass in the church hall, sponsored by the Be A Man Bible Study & Lord Teach Me To Pray ministries.
- The closing Mass for Our Lady of Loreto is this weekend, Sunday May 18th, beginning at 2pm. Everyone is invited.
- The next Italian Festival meeting is scheduled for this Wednesday, May 21st at 6:30pm at St. James Hall. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
- There is still room in the Artisan Bread class that will take place this Wednesday, beginning at 7PM at Ss. Peter & Paul Hall. Call Donna Gatz for more information.
- The Mass schedule for Ascension Thursday, a holy day of obligation, can be found in this weekend’s bulletin. Also, with the closing of Our Lady of Loreto Chruch, there will be changes in the daily Mass schedule. Please see the bulletin for details.
- The Sacrament of Confirmation will take place this Thursday, beginning at 7pm. Biship Michael Fisher will be our celebrant. Please pray for all our Confirmation Candidates.
- Altar Server Training Classes are being offered on Sunday, June 1st & June 8th at St. John for anyone who has received First Eucharist. See the bulletin for details.
- The Catholic Daughters are sponsoring a Chicken BBQ on Sunday, June 15th. Pre-sale tickets will be available next Sunday, May 25th at St. John church, as well as scheduled dates at other parishes. Please see the bulletin for details.
- St. Patrick’s is hosting a reception on June 1st after the 11AM Mass. Honorees will be all students who obtained sacraments this year and also our 2025 Graduates and their families. A light lunch will be served by the Altar & Rosary Society.
- Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is open in the chapel of St. James every Wednesday from 9am until the 7pm Mass for all to come and pray. Please call the central office at 716.487.0125 if you would like to become a “Guardian of the Blessed Sacrament” by taking 1-hour weekly to remain in the chapel so that others may visit Our Lord. We especially need someone at the 4pm hour!
