General Announcements

2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time ~ January 19, 2025

• A reminder, the Central Office will be closed on Monday, January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  However, there will be an 8AM Mass at St. James.
• With the closing of Our Lady of Victory, we have added a weekday Mass on Thursdays at 8AM at St. James Church.
• There will be a second collection next weekend for those that have been affected by the wildfires in California. 
• St. James will be offering a CPR/AED training workshop on Saturday, February 15 at 9am in the hall.   If you are interested in becoming certified, please call the central office at 716.487.0125 to register.  The cost is just $20 per person.  
• The Holy Name Society has changed their meeting date to Tuesday, January 21 at Our Lady of Loreto church hall, 6:30pm.  Dessert and coffee will be provided.  New members welcome!
• The Diocese would like to invite couples who celebrate their Silver, Golden, Diamond and Platinum anniversaries of Marriage in 2025 to a special Mass on World Marriage Day, Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 10:30am at St. Joseph Cathedral.  Please contact the Central Office before Friday, January 24 for sign-up information.
• Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is open in the chapel of St. James every Wednesday from 9am until the 7pm Mass for all to come and pray.  Please call the central office at 716.487.0125 if you would like to become a “Guardian of the Blessed Sacrament” by taking 1-hour weekly to remain in the chapel so that others may visit Our Lord.
