Pentecost Sunday ~ June 8, 2025
- Next weekend, we will welcome a Mission Cooperative Guest who will speak on behalf of the Masaka Diocesan Medical Services, part of the Catholic Health Care Ministry in the Diocese of Masaka, Uganda. A second collection will be taken to support this important mission. More details can be found in the weekend’s bulletin. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
- Join us for a Festival Planning Meeting on Monday, June 9 at 6:30pm in the Parish Hall at St. James. We’re currently looking for donations of pop and bottled water, and volunteers to help sell raffle tickets. Also, don’t miss our next Festival Baking Session on Saturday, June 14 at 9:00am in the St. James Church Hall This session will focus on preparing cannoli shells – and we’d love your help!
- Join us on Wednesday, June 18 at 6:00pm at St. James Church for a special Unity Mass, as we warmly welcome the parishioners of Our Lady of Loreto into our faith community. Following the Mass, we invite everyone to a friendly gathering in the Church Hall to get to know our new parishioners. Pizza will be served, and if you’d like, feel free to bring cookies or a light dessert to share – though it’s not required. This event is open to all members of our Catholic Neighbors In Faith Community. We hope to see you there! .
- Altar Server training will take place this Sunday, June 8 after the 9:00am Mass at St. John Church. All interested individuals must have received their First Communion to participate.
- The Catholic Daughters will be selling Chicken BBQ tickets at Sacred Heart Church this Sunday, June 8 after the 9:00am Mass. Your support is greatly appreciated!
- This is the final weekend to sign up for St. Patrick’s Annual Altar & Rosary Dinner Meeting happening Wednesday, June 11 at 6:00pm at the South Dayton Hotel. Need a ride? Contact Cathie Van Sickle, who will be providing transportation from the St. Pat’s parking lot. Come enjoy fellowship, fun, and door prizes!
- Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is open in the chapel of St. James every Wednesday from 9am until the 7pm Mass for all to come and pray. Please call the central office at 716.487.0125 if you would like to become a “Guardian of the Blessed Sacrament” by taking 1-hour weekly to remain in the chapel so that others may visit Our Lord. We especially need someone at the 4pm hour!
