Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time ~ February 23, 2025

  • Chiavetta’s will be offering their renowned drive-thru chicken barbeque this Thursday, February 27th, from noon to 6PM at Sacred Heart Church.
  • All young adults ages 21 through 39 are invited to Theology on Tap this Friday, February 28th at 7PM at Southern Tier Brewery.  The topic will be “How to Suffer Joyfully” presented by Fr. Peter Santandreu.  You don’t want to miss this event!  Enjoy some quality time with your religious peers and bring a friend!
  • Carnivale tickets are now on sale in the central office for $20 each, or $5 for children under 12.  The event will be held on Saturday, March 1st from 5-8PM at St. James Hall.  Enjoy homemade Italian food stations, music and dancing.  Seating is limited to 100, so don’t wait!  Purchase your tickets today as this event usually sells out.
  • Join us next Sunday, March 2nd for coffee and donuts after the 9am Mass, as we honor Pat Dupere for her many years of dedicated service to the Food Ministry at Sacred Heart.  Pat has decided to retire.  Everyone is invited to attend. 
  • Join us for a Lenten Series every Friday starting March 7th at 6PM at St. James Hall.  This series delves into the sorrowful mysteries of the rosary, beginning each session with a video filmed in the Holy Land to offer a deeper understanding and a beautiful exploration of each mystery, following by a group discussion.  Check the bulletin for more details.  
  • St. Patrick Church will be holding their annual St. Patrick’s Day dinner on Sunday, March 16th at 12noon in the Church Hall, following Mass.  The menu includes Corned Beef, Cabbage, Carrots, Onions & Ham.  Everyone attending is asked to bring a dish to pass, or dessert.  Sign-ups are located at both entrances of the church.  Please place your reservations by Friday, March 7th, so that we can prepare the needed food!
  • Volunteers from ALL parishes are needed for this year’s Easter Cantata, which will be held on Palm Sunday and Tuesday of Holy Week, April 13th & 15th, at St. James Church.  We need volunteers for 15 reading parts, 20 non-speaking parts, and various roles in the stage crew, ushers, costumes, and more.  For more details, please contact the Central Office.  
  • Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is open in the chapel of St. James every Wednesday from 9am until the 7pm Mass for all to come and pray.  Please call the central office at 716.487.0125 if you would like to become a “Guardian of the Blessed Sacrament” by taking 1-hour weekly to remain in the chapel so that others may visit Our Lord.
